Racecar bed

As part of Spencer’s 2nd birthday extravaganza, we got him a new bed – a racecar bed. Spencer had not been very interested in sleeping in his toddler bed recently. For several weeks, he mostly slept either in our bed or the guest bed – sometimes with me and/or Clare – sometimes by himself. it seemed time to get him a new bed, and since he is so infatuated with cars and trucks, we figured that a racecar bed would be irresistible, and that we would all sleep better. I picked it up the frame last Monday from a woman who sold it to us on craigslist. Then last Saturday we took Spencer to Mattress King, and he really seemed to like the “Spencer Plush” mattress, so we got that, and then set it up while he was napping.

Where did Spencer sleep on Saturday night? He slept in the guest bed with Dave and Ellen, who confirmed that Spencer does kick quite a bit in his sleep. Since then he has slept quite happily in his new bed though, and we all appreciate it.
