Apple butter

Yesterday I made Applebutter. I used apple cider instead of water when I made the applesauce. Then I cooked down about 10 quarts of applesauce into about 6 quarts of Applebutter. I added half cup of sugar, a tablespoon of cinnamon, a teaspoon of cloves, and a teaspoon of allspice. I can 12 pints taste really great!

Clare recently took Meg to the doctor for her 18 month checkup. She grew 4 inches taller from 12 to 18 months! She is pretty big. And here is a totally unrelated picture of Meg wearing a dress and boots. Ellen and I took Spencer and Meg to the shoe store recently, and Meg was pointing at some boots on the shelf. There was a pink pair and a black pair next to each other. I asked her if she liked the pink ones, and she said “car!”, and pointed at the black pair with the Lightning McQueen racecar on them.
