Today I did the second harvest of apples from our apple tree. We did the first harvest several weeks ago and have made applesauce and Applebutter. The first harvest was about twice as much as this one. Overall I think we’ve gotten approximately 5 or 6 bushels of apples from our tree this year. Last year we only got one single apple, so I guess this year makes up for last. Several of our neighbors have apples but Clare and I both think that our apples taste the best. We got lucky when we bought the house.
